ISO New England released the Forward Capacity Market, Market Information Server (MIS) report entitled Special Annual Peak Load (SP_FCMANNUALPEAK) on November 2, 2026. The information is preliminary and may be subject to change in the Data Reconciliation Process.

The 2026 preliminary annual peak load information has been included in the "ISO New England Annual System Peak Day, Hour & Load MW " spreadsheet. This spreadsheet is located here.

Critical Path Schedule Monitoring Election Window for the 2026 Interim Reconfiguration Auction Qualification Process is Open Until November 2, 2026

When: Monday November 2, 2026 8:48 AM

The window to elect critical path schedule (CPS) monitoring for all New Import Capacity Resources, New Demand Capacity Resources with non-commercial capacity, and New Generating Capacity Resources with non-commercial capacity is now open and will close on November 2, 2026 at 23:59. Pursuant to Section III.13.A.2(c)(2) of the 91��Ʒ. Transmission, Markets, and Services Tariff, electing CPS monitoring within the CPS monitoring election window is required for all New Import Capacity Resources, New Demand Capacity Resources with non-commercial capacity, and New Generating Capacity Resources with non-commercial capacity to successfully complete the 2026 interim reconfiguration auction (RA) qualification process.

Forward Capacity Market December 2026 Reconfiguration Auction Results Available

The Forward Capacity Market December 2026 Reconfiguration Auction results have been approved. Updated Capacity Supply Obligation positions resulting from the auction approval can be found in the Forward Capacity Tracking System application under Commitment Period 2026-2027. Individual MIS reports can be found in the MIS reports titled SP_MRARESULT. The results summary for this auction can be found here.

Forward Capacity Market Capacity Supply Obligation Bilateral Period and Monthly Reconfiguration Auction for January 2027 to Open

In accordance with Market Rule 1, Sections III.13.4 and III.13.5, the submission period for submitting Capacity Supply Obligation Bilateral Contracts to the Forward Capacity Market CSO Bilateral Period for January 2027 will open on November 10, 2026 (00:00) and will close on November 12, 2026 (11:00). The submission period for submitting bids and offers to the Forward Capacity Market Monthly Reconfiguration Auction for January 2027 will open on November 19, 2026 (00:00) and will close on November 20, 2026 (11:00).
